Scramble for the Cardinals

Canfield boys golf will host a four-person scramble May 23 at Tippecanoe Country Club.

There will be lunch and driving range at 11 a.m. with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start and dinner in the ballroom.

A $10,000 hole-in-one prize, 50/50 closest to the pin on par threes and $1,500 in prizes will be offered.

The cost is $100 per person and includes lunch, dinner and beverages.

Hole sponsors are available for $25 and $50.

Canfield track members place at state indoor meet

Three Canfield track and field athletes finished the indoor season last weekend by finishing in the top 10 of their respective events during the Division I state indoor meet in Akron.

Leanna Hartsough cleared 5-4 in the high jump to finish tied for fifth.

Jon Hutnyan posted a time of 1:58.53 in the 800 meters to take sixth.

Maggie Bresnahan tossed the shot put 35-3 3/4 to earn 10th-place honors.

Bowl Over Cancer fundraiser coming

A “Bowl Over Cancer” fundraiser will be April 2 at Arrowhead Lanes.

The 9-pin no-tap event includes three games, prizes, a 50-50 raffle and silent auction beginning at 9 p.m.
