Profit-sharing checks doled out to Lordstown GM employees

WARREN — Local autoworkers, state Sen. Joe Schiavoni of Canfield, D-33rd, and Jim Graham, president UAW Local 1112, and a Warren mayoral candidate, had a press conference today to mark the recovery of General Motors and the American auto industry and what it has meant for Ohio’s workers and families.

This week as many as 45,000 U.S. hourly workers will receive profit-sharing checks less than two years after the company emerged from structured bankruptcy proceedings. The checks are expected to be distributed Friday.
