Pianist to present workshop, masterclass

YOUNGSTOWN

Bliss Recital Hall on the campus of Youngstown State University will be the setting for a free workshop and masterclass Saturday to be sponsored by Youngstown Music Teachers Association and the Dana Piano Guild.

“Interpretation in Music Performance — Reading Between the Lines” will be the theme of the 10 a.m. workshop, and the theme of the 1 p.m. masterclass will be “Intermediate to Advance Piano Students.”

The presenter will be Dr. Susan Svrcek, pianist, who is the chairwoman of the chamber music department and piano department at Pasadena Conservatory of Music.
