Man critical after jack slips, car falls on head

BROOKFIELD

A man was critically injured after a car fell on his head while he was working underneath it, the Brookfield Fire Department said.

The fire department does not yet have a confirmation on the 44-year-old man’s identity, it said. He was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center.

The accident happened at 6:53 p.m. Wednesday at 7976 Third St. The man does not live at that address, but was helping out with the car, the department said.

The department said the ground was soft and the jack slipped.
