Ground-breaking today on arsenal project


WINDHAM

U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan of Niles, D-17th, will attend a groundbreaking at 11 a.m. today for a project that will bring water and sanitary sewers to the Ravenna Training and Logistic Site.

The ground-breaking ceremony will take place at the Windham Gate off of Main Street.

The Ohio Army National Guard uses the 21,418-acre Ravenna Training and Logistic Site, formerly known as the Ravenna Arsenal, for training.

Construction at the site will provide sewage service for the facility and water service to The Ohio National Guard Tactical Training Base.
