Police: Ohio dad had son join in gang initiation
CLEVELAND (AP) — Authorities say a Cleveland man has been indicted on attempted murder and child-endangering charges for allegedly pressing his 10-year-old son to join a random beating attack as part of a gang initiation.
Gabriel Rosado, 31, was indicted March 10 and pleaded not guilty last week. He and five other men have been jailed on $250,000 bond each to await a court hearing Thursday.
Spokesman Ryan Miday with the Cuyahoga County prosecutor’s office said today that juvenile charges are possible against the son and several other boys accused of being involved in the attack.
The 31-year-old victim has remained hospitalized with head injuries since the Nov. 23 attack, according to The Plain Dealer newspaper in Cleveland.
