Student body participates in project

A place for love: The entire student body at Holy Family Elementary School, 2731 Center Road, Poland, took part in a recent “Service With a Smile” project. Students viewed the project as an act of love and kindness. Place mats they created for residents at Maplecrest Nursing Home in Struthers are displayed by first-graders, at left from back to front, Josie Shorokey, Alaina Scavina, Grace Raymer and Julia Ranno; and in back, Joe Macejko, David Vuksanovich, Joey Carosella, Joey Morrison and Mitch Tofil. First-graders not pictured are Jack Desmond and Christina Maruca. Teacher Maria Valley presented the place mats to Lisa Daprile, nursing home representative.
