Home invader on South Side nets $10, Xbox, cell phone
YOUNGSTOWN
An 18-year-old Mistletoe Avenue man said a man grabbed him from behind, pushed him onto a bed, put a blanket over him and robbed him about 11 p.m. Friday night in the bedroom of his home on the South Side.
The thief, who was wearing a black hoodie that concealed most of his face, took $10 from the man’s pocket, the Xbox game system he was playing and his cell phone.
At least one other person appeared to be in the house at the time, the man told police.
Later, the victim discovered that a 46-inch plasma television, Nintendo Wii system and another cell phone were also missing from downstairs.
The location of the robbery is only a couple of blocks from the armed robbery and kidnapping of five people at 328 W. Judson Avenue that occurred at about 1 a.m. Friday.
Three men with guns were involved in the Judson Avenue robbery that included one of the victims being hit in the head with the butt of a handgun and all five people being forced to the floor at gunpoint.
