SENIOR CITIZENS | Meetings, activities announced


Commercial Intertech Retirees will meet at noon Tuesday at St. Mark’s Fellowship Hall on Logan Way with Lou Pizzuto presiding. Giving reports and serving as luncheon hostesses will be Gloria Wielbruda and Roberta Shick. Parker-Hannifin retirees are invited to join retirees from Pressed Metal, Hydraulic, office and plant security at the monthly meetings for socialization, the sharing of information and a $2 luncheon. Holy Family Seniors will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Hope Hall with Frances Ameduri presiding. Use the youth center entrance. There will be cards, bingo, a 50-50 drawing, pizza, snacks and coffee. Hostesses will be Victoria Murphy, Jean Evans, Virginia Lyden and Mary Medovich. Dues of $1 will be collected. Illnesses or deaths should be reported to Nancy Nappy at 330-757-2823.

Holy Name Senior Citizens will meet at 1 p.m. March 27 in Founders’ Hall. Hostesses will be Ethel Cook, Ann Smith, Ginnie Miller and Ruth Infante. The attendance fee is $2. Raffles, birthday prizes, cards and bingo will follow the luncheon. Guests are welcome; no church affiliation is necessary to be a member.

Liberty Friends will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Liberty Presbyterian Church for fellowship and games. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch, coffee will be provided.

Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played, and Janet Tentinger will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided. P.E.R.I. 18, Public Employees Retirees Inc., Mahoning Chapter, will meet at noon April 5 at the Youngstown Saxon Club, 710 Meridian Road, Youngstown. The guest speaker will be Harry Meshel, former Ohio state senator and a member of Youngstown State University’s board of trustees. A money raffle will take place. The cost is $9 for members, associate members and guests, payable at the door. REAC 3298 will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at the aerie in Austintown. There will be a luncheon afterward with Kay Juggenheimer and Maxine Taylor serving as hostesses.
