Tap-in information

HILLSVILLE, Pa.

Residents with questions about financial help available to tap into the sanitary-sewer line under construction are invited to Mahoning Township supervisors’ meeting at 7 p.m. April 12 at the township community center.

Consultants Jim and Linda Farris will be on hand to explain the eligibility guidelines and what type of financial help is available. Township officials cautioned, however, that the amount of the tap-in fee has not yet been determined, so only general information can be given.

The first phase of the sewer line is expected to be completed by early fall. When all phases are completed, it is expected to cost $20 million and serve 625 homes in Edinburg as well as the racetrack/casino proposed for land at the intersection of U.S. Route 422 and Pa. Route 551.
