Columbiana sheriff's workers getting raises

LISBON

Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office employees will receive a pay increase this year.

Sheriff Ray Stone said last week that 19 deputies, five dispatchers and four clerical workers will get a 3 percent pay increase for 2011.

The sheriff’s staff is in the middle of a three-year pact.

Workers did not get a raise in 2010 but had a clause in their contract to reopen wage talks this year. There will be no increase in pay next year.
