Joshua Ryan Boyle and his bride, the former Courtney Hillis, honeymooned in Costa Rica following their Sept. 18 wedding at the south terrace of Kidston Pavilion in Fellows Riverside Gardens.
The couple exchanged vows at 4:30 p.m. in the presence of the Rev. Alex Hilliard and greeted guests during a reception at Rossi Auditorium in the Davis Center at the gardens.
The bride, whose parents are deceased, is a granddaughter of Lillian Lucas of Mentor. Parents of the groom are Jim and Angie Boyle of Canfield.
An antique lace overlay and satin sash enhanced the bride’s strapless ivory gown.
Dusty shale-colored gowns were worn by Amy Case, the honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Jenelle Boyle, a sister of the groom; Stacey Gooding; Allison Stalker; Kim Hearn-Vance; and Tereasa Romeo. Flower girls were Meghan and Leia Solich, cousins of the bride.
Brendan Boyle served as best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Jamie Boyle, a brother of the groom; Kevin Boyle, his cousin; David Novotny; Bill Polis and Jake Bajersky. Ring bearers were Jack and Ethan Bishop, cousins of the groom, and ushers were Todd Horn and Chad Jackson.
Mrs. Boyle graduated from Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in food, agricultural and biological engineering. She is an engineer with Malcolm Pirnie/Arcadis-US in Irvine, Calif.
Mr. Boyle, a naturalist with Laguna Canyon Foundation in Laguna Beach, Calif, graduated from Central Wyoming College with an associate degree in outdoor education and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in adventure education at Prescott College.
Mr. and Mrs. Boyle live in Corona del Mar, Calif.
