Two brothers charged with felonious assault, one of them a substitute teacher who was arrested at Campbell Middle School, had their court cases continued Friday.

Brandon Rogers, 23, of Struthers-Liberty Road was arrested at the middle school March 10. An arresting officer, Sgt. Dave Taybus, said pupils did not witness the arrest.

It was handled by calling Rogers out of his classroom and leading him out of the building, Taybus said. Floyd Rogers, 32, of Penhale Avenue turned himself in at the police station that same day.

A police report says the brothers assaulted a man at a party at Brandon Rogers’ house March 7, breaking his jaw and bruising his face.

The man went to St. Elizabeth Health Center for treatment.

A witness told police he believes the brothers were upset because the victim had thrown up on Brandon Rogers’ shoes.

Preliminary hearings were scheduled Friday in Campbell Municipal Court for both men, but those hearings were postponed until April 29.

Both men remain free on $800 bond.

School-district representatives could not be reached to comment this week.
