Warren mission in need of products

Staff report

WARREN

Warren Family Mission, 361 Elm Road NE, is in immediate need of boxed and canned goods. The mission supplies up to 200 bags of groceries each week to those in need.

The mission also needs meat products such as hamburger and chicken for the 400 sit-down meals it serves each week.

The mission also feeds 77 children each week in its after-school program. The mission’s food supply is down to less than one month, and its dry store-room is empty, said Ron Biehl, director of development.

The mission is opening a clothing- and food-distribution center this spring at 2671 Youngstown Road and anticipates its clientele doubling in size. With the Easter season approaching, the mission also needs hams and Easter-basket supplies for the children it serves. Donations can be dropped off at the mission’s Elm Road location between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
