Charges in triple fatal on I-80 transferred to Girard court

The six misdemeanor charges filed against Eugene R. White, 63, of Shiloh, Ohio, in the deaths of three people have been transferred to Girard Municipal Court.

Judge John M. Stuard of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court ruled Thursday that the case belonged in municipal court, because these charges were indicted as misdemeanors.

White was driving a truck that hit the rear of a vehicle on Interstate 80 in Hubbard Township on May 24, 2010, killing Shirley Gilmore, 66, of Warren, and her two passengers, David Westenfelder, 56, and Wendy Frost, 59, both of Surprise, Ariz.
