Rachel McGowan, Richard McCarthy will wed in May

CANFIELD

Mr. and Mrs. Richard McGowan of Canfield are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Helena McGowan, and Richard Lawrence McCarthy, both of McLean, Va.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard W. McCarthy of Boardman.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Duquesne University, where she earned a degree with honors in political science. She is employed as a legislative analyst for the Motorcycle Industry Council in Washington, D.C.

The prospective groom earned a degree in finance and accounting from Georgetown University. He is a consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Washington.

The couple are planning a May wedding, for which invitations will be extended.
