Ohio man accused of not disclosing HIV to partners
VERMILION, Ohio (AP) — Police here have charged a man who has the virus that causes AIDS after they say he had sex with at least four women and didn’t tell them.
Investigators think the man knowingly infected the women by failing to tell them he’s HIV positive.
The town’s police chief tells The Morning Journal in Lorain that three of the women tested positive for HIV.
Brandon Shullick is charged with felonious assault. Police say he told investigators he never let the women know he has the virus.
The Associated Press left a message for comment with Shullick’s attorney today.
Ohio law says people who know they’re HIV positive must disclose their status to a potential partner before engaging in sexual conduct.
