Man says he acted purposefully during killing

NASHUA, N.H. (AP) β€” A New Hampshire man who has admitted being part of the deadly knife and machete attack on a woman and her 11-year-old daughter says he told people in prison two weeks ago they have no idea what a dangerous person he is.

Twenty-one-year-old Christopher Gribble made the comments today during a trial to determine whether he was insane when he helped kill Kimberly Cates and maim her 11-year-old daughter Jaimie.

He told a prosecutor he was acting intentionally and purposefully during the October 2009 crime. He said: β€œIt’s hard not to be purposefully doing something like that when you stick a knife in someone.”

On Tuesday, Gribble told jurors he was proud of how precise his knife blows were and how controlled his demeanor was.
