WEDNESDAY

Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will sponsor a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the church. Cost is $6.50, and containers will be provided for takeout orders. No reservations are necessary. For takeout orders call 330-743-3175.

Canfield Christian Church, 123 S. Broad St., will serve a Lenten breakfast from 7 to 9:30 a.m. today in the fellowship hall. A freewill offering will be accepted.

Women of Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 420 Clearmount Drive, Youngstown, will provide a light lunch of soup every Wednesday after Lenten services through April 13. Worship takes place at noon, and the service lasts about 40 minutes. Today’s soup is wedding soup. Takeout soup will be available at $6 per quart.

THURSDAY

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. St. Brendan Church will sponsor a fish dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Fridays during Lent (except April 22) at Maxwell Hall, 144 N. Schenley Ave., Youngstown. Meals are $8.50 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. St. Michael Church, 340 N. Broad St., Canfield, will have a fish and shrimp fry every Friday during Lent. Meals are dine-in or takeout, and cost is $10 for adults $8 for seniors 60 or over and $5 for children 12 and under.

St. Nicholas Byzantine Center, 3801 Shady Run Road, Youngstown, will have a family fish fry each Friday during Lent. St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church (formerly St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church), 4453 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, will sponsor fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. each Friday during Lent except Good Friday. The cost is $8.75 for adults, $8.50 for seniors, $4 for children 6 to 12 and free for those under 6. Takeout service will be from 3 to 7 p.m.

SATURDAY

Deerfield American Legion Post 713, 1517 state Route 14, will serve a pancake and sausage breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. at the post home. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children. Proceeds will benefit the American Legion scholarship fund. The Ladies Auxiliary will host a bake sale during breakfast.

Green Township Fire Department, 12210 Lisbon Road, will have an all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast from 6:30 to 11 a.m. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children. Those under 5 eat free.

Queen of the Holy Rosary Church, 291 Scoville Drive, Vienna, will serve a creamed chicken on biscuit dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for children 6 to 12 and free for those 5 and under. Takeouts will be available.

VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 South Range Road, New Springfield, will have a Swiss steak dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Tickets are $9 for adults and $5 for children and will be sold at the door. There will be entertainment from 8 to midnight and a 50-50 raffle. Proceeds support the scholarship program.

SUNDAY

Ellsworth Fire Department, 6034 S. Salem-Warren Road, will host an all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the fire hall. The cost is $6 for adults, $4 for children 5 to 12 and free for those 4 and under. There will be a basket auction.

Fowler Volunteer Fire Department will have its monthly pancake and sausage breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the fire station, state Route 193. Prices are $6 for adults, $5 for senior citizens, $4 for children 6 to 12 and free for preschoolers.

Men’s Club of Kinsman Presbyterian Church, 6383 Church St., will sponsor a roast beef dinner from noon to 2 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults and $4 for children under 12, and will be available at the door. For more details call the church at 330-876-4485.
