Trial to open for 2 in murder of one’s husband
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) — Trial is scheduled to begin today for two people charged in the murder of a father of four who was gunned down in his garage in August 2009.
Twenty-eight-year-old Mirinda Boob and 31-year-old Ronald Heichel are charged in Centre County with first-degree murder and conspiracy in the death of Boob’s 29-year-old husband, Samuel, in Potter Township.
Authorities allege that Mirinda Boob planned the murder and text messages link her with Heichel, who is accused of shooting the victim.
The Centre Daily Times says Judge Pamela Ruest is allowing testimony from two men who say Mirinda Boob had affairs with them and expressed a desire for her husband’s death. But Ruest has barred officials from interpreting the text messages and she has yet to rule on a re-enactment video.
