Bad check scam: A Shadydale Drive woman told police she had received a forged check for $3,100 drawn on a Chase bank account in a Craig’s List transaction.

March 8

Broken window: A Hood Drive resident reported a second-floor bathroom window had been broken while she was out of town, but no evidence of an object being thrown at it could be found.

Drug abuse: Mathew Stiner, 23, of 6505 St. Andrews Drive, Canfield, was charged with drug abuse for alleged possession of marijuana at Pheasant Run and west of the city limits.

Breaking and entering: A storage shed was entered at E-Z Storage, 5214 Mahoning Ave., and wheels, jewelry and guitars were taken.

Credit card fraud: $7,400 was fraudulently charged on credit cards at a home in the 5000 block of Callaway Circle.

Theft: A book bag, books, a validation sticker and other items were stolen from an auto at an apartment in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Assault: An 11-year-old was assaulted at a bus stop at Pembrook Road and Moorefield Avenue.

Theft: $58.66 in gasoline was stolen at Country Fair, 1143 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Lost or stolen wallet: A wallet was reported missing at Regal Cinema, 6020 Mahoning Ave.

Burglary: Someone burglarized an apartment in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.

March 8

Telecommunications harassment: A female received threats on Facebook at a home in the 4000 block of Signature Place.

Breaking and entering: A gate at the northeast corner was opened and taken off its hinges at American Auto, 89 Maple Avenue.

Theft: $40 in gasoline was stolen at Country Fair, 1143 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: A purse and its contents was stolen and later recovered at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A rear license-plate was stolen from an auto at Bob Evans, 1100 N. Niles-Canfield Road and later used in a theft.

Burglary: An apartment was entered and a television stolen in the 1000 block of Fountain Square.

Criminal damaging: Two vehicles were damaged at American Auto.

March 9

Domestic violence: James Cox, 22, of 79 Indianola Road, Boardman was arrested for trespassing and domestic violence in the 1000 block of Compass West.

Fraud: Three unauthorized charges were made on a debit account at a home in the 5000 block of Stanford Avenue.

Theft: Golf clubs were stolen from an auto in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Theft: $25 in coins were stolen from an auto in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Theft: Coins, CDs and glasses were taken from an auto in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Theft: A ladies’ purse and its contents were stolen from an auto and later recovered at a home in the 1000 block of Laurie Drive.

Fraud: Unauthorized purchases were reported at a home in the 2000 block of Oak Trace.

Theft: A propane grill was stolen from the 3000 block of South Meridian Road.

Assault: Two men were involved in an assault at an apartment in the 100 block of North Kimberly Avenue. Both were intoxicated.

Felonious assault: A woman is a suspect in a felonious assault at O’Donold’s, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

March 10

Criminal damaging: Two screen windows were bent at an apartment in the 1000 block of Compass West apartments.

Drug offense: Dustin Garcia, 18, of 3643 Johnson Court, Canfield was arrested on charges of drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a summons.

Attempted theft: Damage to a vehicle door was done in an attempted theft at Digital Dish, 4343 Mahoning Ave.

Warrant: Steven Mazzola, 34, of 4329 Mahoning Ave., was arrested on a warrant on charges of a probation violation and domestic violence.

Drug offense: Doug Measmer, 54, of 3425 Briarwood Lane, was arrested on charges of drug abuse of crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Theft: Michael Farr Jr.,21, of 3650 W. Market St., Leavittsburg was arrested on a charge of theft at Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.

Burglary: Two flat-screen televisions were stolen in a burglary at a home in the 5000 block of Nashua Drive.

March 11

Theft: A skid steer with a plow were stolen at Cracker Barrel, 5600 Interstate Blvd.

Theft: A 2010 Nissan Altima was stolen and later recovered at a home in the 100 block of North Main Street.

Warrant: Robert Scott, 36, 4711 Woodhurst Drive, was arrested on a warrant for alleging domestic violence.

Aggravated menacing: A woman is a suspect in aggravated menacing at Phoenix House, 850 N. Meridian Road.

Criminal damaging: Scratches on a vehicle hood were reported in the 1000 block of South Raccoon Road.

March 12

Drug offense: George Went, 21, of 3634 Cascade Drive, was issued a summons for possession of marijuana in the parking lot in the 50 block of Westminster Avenue.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle tire was tampered with and the left rear door dented at a home in the 5000 block of Willowcrest Drive.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle rear-hatch window was broken out at a home in the 1000 block of New Road.

Criminal damaging: A beer bottle was thrown through a window at a home in the 600 bock of North Four Mile Run Road.

Criminal damaging: Two vehicles were egged, scratched and painted at a home in the 2000 block of Amberly Avenue.

Disorderly conduct: Annie Harris, 62, of Oak Grove, Ky. was issued a summons for disorderly conduct at the Econo-Lodge, North Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: Numerous guns were taken from a residence in the 5000 block of Pinecrest Avenue.

Theft: Patrons walked out on a food bill at BW3, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Assault: A man is accused of assault in the 1000 block of South Raccoon Road.

Theft: A Sony Playstation was taken from a home in the 4000 block of Burkey Road.

Theft: $2,000 in cash was taken from a home in the 200 block of North Beverly Avenue.

Aggravated menacing: A male is a suspect in aggravated menacing at an apartment in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.
