All of the woman are charged with the assault of a police officer who was reportedly trying to break up a fight involving at least seven women.
Two other women — Briyanna Littlejohn, 20, of Montclair Avenue, Boardman, and her sister, Brittany Littlejohn, 21, of Eastway Drive — were arraigned last week and are in Mahoning County jail. Briyanna Littlejohn is charged with assault and aggravated rioting. Her sister is charged with aggravated rioting.
Aggravated rioting carries a penalty of up to 18 months in prison.
A 15-year-old girl also was arrested for her role in the melee, and she faces charges in juvenile court.
According to police, Officer Bridget Quinn, a five-year department veteran, was reportedly attacked Thursday night by the group while attempting to break up a fight and arrest one woman. Quinn was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center for treatment of bruises to her legs as well as neck and back pain.
Prosecutors told the magistrate that Quinn has been evaluated and may have suffered a broken rib in the melee.
Harris, Davis, West and Jamalia Abrams all were given court-appointed attorneys, $25,000 bonds, and ordered to have no contact with Quinn.
Prosecutors also told the court Harris has past arrests for improperly handling a firearm, menacing and theft.
Janiecia Abrams’ bond was set at $27,000. She also has a court-appointed lawyer, and the magistrate also ordered her to stay away from Quinn.
