WARREN

An exhibition of vintage toys from the 1930s, ’40s and ’50s is on display through April at the Sutliff Museum, on the second floor of the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, 444 Mahoning Ave. NW.

The mechanical, plush and plastic toys include a working dump truck, a 24-inch tall Minnie Mouse and glass candy bottles in several shapes. Other toys include a monkey that climbs a string, a steam shovel that scoops and a furry walking bear.

The exhibit is open from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. Admission is free.

Photo studio plans open-house events

YOUNGSTOWN

Jaci Clark Photography will celebrate the renovation of its studio in the Ward Bakery Building, 1024 Mahoning Ave., with a party and open house Saturday. Clark, a Youngstown native, said the studio is the culmination of years of work. “I have built my business around capturing the essence of real people, and I’m excited to have a beautiful studio to exhibit the work,” she said.

Families can bring their children for face-painting and an open photo booth with props from 5 to 7 p.m. Kid-friendly food and refreshments will be available. The event will be geared to adults from 7 to 9 p.m., with beer, wine and food. At 8 p.m., guests can watch a live “Pillow Talk” boudoir photo shoot. “My ‘Pillow Talk’ sessions are about feeling sexy and feminine and you don’t have to be half-naked for that to happen,” said Clark. “Once I explain that concept, women love the idea of dressing up and feeling like a supermodel for the day.”
