Melanie Sparks to be June bride of Sean Melnik

William and Christina Sparks are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Melanie Sparks, and Sean Melnik, son of Mitch and Renee Leigh, and the late Michael Melnik.

The Sparkses are all from Mineral Ridge, and Mr. Melnik and his parents are from Lowellville.

The bride to be, who attends Youngstown State University, is employed as a waitress at O’Charley’s restaurant in Niles.

The prospective groom, who earned a bachelor’s degree in applied science at YSU, is employed as an IT client services representative at Kent State University-Ashtabula.

The couple have planned their wedding for 1:30 p.m. June 25 at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Lowellville. Invitations will be extended for the ceremony and for a reception at the Maronite Center in Youngstown.
