MAHONING COUNTY

Celtic Healthcare offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays at eight locations in Mahoning County for people 60 or older and their spouses, regardless of age. Reservations are required three days in advance, and transportation is available. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Home-delivered meals are also available for seniors homebound due to illness, injury or handicap.

Wednesday, March 16: Chicken breast, mashed potatoes, peas, pineapple juice, wheat bread with margarine, cloud cake or a sugar-free cookie, and milk.

Thursday, March 17: Happy St. Patrick’s Day. Steak burger on a bun, mushrooms, baked potato, broccoli cuts, unsweetened peaches, and milk.

Friday, March 18: Breaded fish with tartar sauce, crinkle cut potatoes, ketchup, California blend vegetables, mandarin orange, white bread with honey, and milk.

Saturday, March 19: Chicken breast, tossed salad, three-bean salad, fresh apple, hamburger bun, orange cookie, and milk.

Monday, March 21: Meatballs/barbecue, buttered noodles, green beans, fruit punch, rye bread with margarine, and milk.

Tuesday, March 22: Veal patty on a hamburger bun with ketchup and mustard, corn, spinach, mixed fruit, cookie, and milk.

TRUMBULL COUNTY

The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers older people a well-balanced meal and an opportunity to share fellowship weekdays at 12 locations in Trumbull County. Reservations must be made two working days in advance. Any person 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or over is eligible to attend. There is no income requirement. The suggested donation is $1.50 per meal.

Wednesday, March 16: Breaded fish on a bun with tartar sauce, spinach, creamed corn, pineapple tidbits.

Thursday, March 17: St. Patrick’s Day. Corned beef, mashed potatoes, buttered cabbage, rye bread, diced pears, and milk.

Friday, March 18: Vegetable lasagna, diced carrots, hot fruit mix, Italian bread with margarine, apple juice, and milk.

Monday, March 21: Meatball splash with sauce on a bun, rice pilaf, peas, peaches, golden apple, and milk.

Tuesday, March 22: Creamed chicken, mashed potatoes, California mixed vegetables, corn muffin, mandarin oranges, and milk.
