Mary Collette Petzak, manager of the McDonald’s restaurant at 2796 Robbins Ave., Niles, has received the 2010 Ray Kroc Award, an annual performance-based award recognizing the top-performing McDonald’s restaurant managers nationwide.

“Mary being honored with the coveted Ray Kroc Award is a true testament to her unwavering commitment to excellence, building our business and taking care of our customers’ needs each and every day,” said John Perdue, owner of the Robbins Avenue McDonald’s. Petzak has been a McDonald’s manager for about five years.

Regional staff and franchisees nominate managers for the award, which is named after McDonald’s Corporation founder Ray Kroc. A committee from McDonald’s operations, training and human resources selects the recipients.

McDonald’s Corporation started giving the award in 1999. This year, 141 restaurant managers were chosen to receive the award.
