Man arrested in theft of jeans from Dillard's

Police arrested a 41-year-old Youngstown man who is accused of stealing 12 pairs of jeans from Southern Park Mall.

Terrance M. Chatman is facing charges of theft after police arrested him Thursday, officers said.

An employee at Dillard’s in the mall told police that on March 5, a man carried a stack of jeans into the fitting room and placed them in a Dillard’s shopping bag, fleeing when he heard security paged, according to reports. The jeans are valued at $400 to $500, police said.
