After months of practice, the following Holy Family School students participated in the Power of the Pen District Tournament at Howland Middle School Jan. 29
The seventh-grade team consisted of Nicholas Braydich, Andrew Brockway, Allison Christopher, Jenna Perchak, Isabel Stoeber, Brianna Thompson, and alternates Kellie Walker and Brennan Bizon.
Christopher received a medal for placing 10th among all seventh-grade competitors.
Eighth-grade team members included John Brennan, Ashley Labatte, Mackenzie Metzinger, Cara Palusak, Mackenzie Wardle, Alia Yossef, and alternates Olivia Proia and Michael Angiolelli.
Braydich, Christopher, Stoeber, Brennan, Palusak, Wardle and Yossef competed at the Regional Power of the Pen Tournament at Malone University March 5.
