Richardson named interim Warren superintendent

WARREN
Loree Richardson, associate superintendent for the Warren City Schools since 2006, has been named interim superintendent.
The school board named her to the job Tuesday, but she began her new duties March 1.
The superintendent’s position became vacant after Kathryn Hellweg resigned Feb. 22, effective Feb. 28.
Richardson has worked in education for 34 years. Before serving as associate superintendent, she was principal at Alden Elementary School for nine years.
She also was an elementary teacher in Warren and a high school business teacher with Warren City Schools, Lordstown Local Schools and Girard City Schools.
She has taught at Kent State University’s Trumbull Campus and at YSU.
As associate superintendent, Richardson’s duties included student and community services, such as registration, attendance and discipline, staff development, student intervention and enrichment programs, and summer programs.
As associate superintendent she earned $100,802 annually, but her salary was increased by $20 per day starting March 1 to $106,002.
