Child endangering

Brittanie Maddox, 25, and David Custer, 29, both of Hamilton Street Southwest have pleaded guilty to three counts of child endangering, misdemeanors, and were sentenced to three years of reporting probation.
The two were charged after police were called to a home on Oak Street Southwest Feb. 17, where they found Maddox, Custer and three children, age 4, 2 and 4 months, in deplorable living conditions.
The Trumbull County Children’s Services Board participated in the investigation and took the children to an unidentified safe place.
Maddox and Custer were not fined.
They were given credit for the seven days they spent in the Trumbull County jail.
Decoration removal

Officials at Belmont Park Cemetery Association say all Christmas decorations must be removed from cemetery grave sites by Tuesday or they will be discarded.
Fighting hunger

The Feinstein Foundation has begun its 14th annual $1 million giveaway to fight hunger.
The money will be divided nationwide by matching cash, checks or food items valued at $1 per item or pound.
High Pointe Church food pantry, 5716 Struthers Road, will be accepting donations through April. You may bring nonperishable food items to the church from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
If you would like to make a monetary donation, they may be taken to the office or mailed to the church.
Looking to lease

Skating event

Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley will receive $1 from each regular-priced admission during “Skate for the Kids” events at the Ice Zone, 360 McClurg Road, on Saturday and March 19.
The “Skate for the Kids” events will take place during the public ice-skating sessions from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., and 7 to 11 p.m. both days.
