Man who was hit by car dies of injuries

WARREN

A man hit by a car at about 3:30 a.m. Feb. 27 near a West Market Street tavern died from his injuries Monday afternoon.

Marcus Jackson, 35, of Charles Street Southeast, was found on West Market Street just after a group of people was leaving the Better Daze tavern, 2382 W. Market St., said Detective Mike Stabile of the Warren Police Department. Jackson had been run over, but the car that hit him had left the scene, Stabile said.

Witnesses described the car as being a maroon four-door. It’s not clear whether Jackson was hit in the street or in the tavern parking lot, Stabile said.

He was taken to Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital and then transferred to St. Elizabeth Health Center, where he died. Anyone with information is asked to call Warren police.
