Gadhafi forces hit oil facilities in central Libya

RAS LANOUF, Libya (AP) — An opposition spokesman says Moammar Gadhafi’s forces struck an oil pipeline and oil storage facility in battles with rebels in central Libya. An Associated Press reporter near the front saw an explosion with a giant yellow fireball today from the area of the Sidr oil facility, 360 miles (580 kilometers) east of Tripoli.
