Canfield Christian Church, 123 S. Broad St., will serve a Lenten breakfast from 7 to 9:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall. A freewill offering will be accepted.
Girard Eagles 2172 will have an Ash Wednesday fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m. at the hall, 26 W. Wilson Ave., Girard. The cost is $9 for adults, $5 for children 5 to 10 and free for those 4 and under.
Holy Family Parish Third Source Committee will have an Ash Wednesday fish fry from noon to 7 p.m. at Holy Family Parish Center, 2729 Center Road, Poland. Tickets are $9 for the eat-in or carryout meals.
Martin Luther Lutheran Church Women will provide a light lunch of soup after Wednesday Lenten services through April 13 at the church, 420 Clearmount Drive, Youngstown. Worship takes place at noon, and the service lasts about 40 minutes. Today’s soup is pasta fagioli. Takeout soup will be available at $6 per quart.
Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 381 Robbins Ave., Niles, will serve fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. today and Friday at Marian Hall. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children. Takeouts will be available.
St. Columba Cathedral will have its sixth annual pasta fagioli dinner from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. today in the parish hall, 154 W. Wood St., Youngstown. The cost of the meal is $6 for adults; for children 10 and under, the cost is $4 (eat-in only). Cheese pizza will be sold by the slice and soda pop, by the can. Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $6.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.
