Man in custody after alleged abduction try at ski resort

SEVEN SPRINGS, Pa. (AP) — A Pittsburgh man is in custody after he allegedly tried to abduct an 11-year-old girl from a southwestern Pennsylvania ski resort.

Police say 23-year-old Justin Louis Weber got into the girl’s room at the Seven Springs Mountain Resort early Sunday morning and carried her into the bathroom against her will. Investigators say the girl’s screams scared Weber off, but he tried to re-enter the room and was stopped by the girl’s father, who’d arrived from an adjoining room.

State police say Weber fled again, but was captured by police on another floor.

Earlier this month, a 19-year-old man was charged with sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl in a parking lot at the resort.

Weber is being held on $75,000 bail.
