Woman, 81, killed in crash in Columbiana County

LISBON

The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate a two- vehicle, head-on crash that killed an 81-year-old Lisbon woman Saturday on state Route 154 in Elkrun Township, Columbiana County.

Evelyn V. Todd, of Cream Ridge Road, was pronounced dead at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown on Saturday evening, the patrol said.

She was a passenger in a westbound 1997 GMC Jimmy driven by her husband, John W., 82, who was taken to St. Elizabeth with non-life-threatening injuries after the 5:23 p.m. crash.

Joel M. Campbell, 29, of Camelot Drive, Columbiana, who was driving an eastbound 2005 Buick Century, was taken to Salem Community Hospital with serious injuries.

Seatbelts were in use in both vehicles, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash, the patrol said.
