Austintown Senior Center, 100 Westchester Drive, has planned the following: Monday, cards, cornhole and Wii at 9:30 a.m. and bingo at 10; Tuesday, free Balance Class at 9:30 a.m., Zumba at 10:15 and bingo at noon; Wednesday, cards. cornhole, Wii and bingo at 10 a.m. and tai chi at noon; Thursday, trip to Grove City Premium Outlets and yoga at 9:30 a.m., Senior Shape-up, poker and euchre at 10:30 and bingo at noon; Friday, cards. cornhole, Wii and bingo at 10 a.m., jewelry making at noon ($4 fee) and Senior Focus with Maureen Pusch at 12:30 p.m. Lunch is available at 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. Registration is required by 11 a.m. each day. Blood pressure checks are every Monday. The center is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. For information call 330-953-1416.
The Meadows at Covington, 200 Covington Drive, East Palestine, will present a program on “Better Living by Avoiding Scams” from 10 to 11:30 a.m. March 16. The educational program for seniors will feature Julie Young of Huntington Bank and Lt. Brian Mclaughlin of Columbiana County Sheriff’s Department, who will discuss how to be more aware and how to protect yourself from scams and identity theft. Senior Independence Senior Center of Mahoning County, 1110 Fifth Ave., Youngstown, has planned the following: Monday, Men’s and Women’s Needlecraft Club at 8:30 a.m., gentle chair yoga at 10 and bridge at 1 p.m.; Tuesday, oil painting and Alzheimer’s Support Group at 10 a.m., computer class at 10 and noon, bridge for beginners at 11, exercises at noon and Digital Club and caregiver support program 2 p.m.; Wednesday, watercolor class at 10 a.m., tap class at noon and 500 cards at 1 p.m.; Thursday, Watch Our Weight and Woodcarvers at 9 a.m., exercises at noon, St. Patrick’s Day party from 1 to 2:30 p.m., line dancing at 1 p.m. and beginner line dancing at 2; and Friday, income taxes at 9.
