Inventors group schedules meeting

The Youngstown & Warren Inventors Association will have a meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Liberty Township Administration Building.
Roger Wiltrout, manager of the extrusion division at Neo Industries Inc. in Conneaut, will be the guest speaker. He will discuss the plastic-extrusion process for manufacturing.
Neo Industries is a manufacturing company that specializes in thermoplastic custom extrusion, injection molding, forming and assembly.
Admission is free.

The Ohio Agricultural Council is seeking nominations for the 2011 Ohio Agricultural Hall of Fame.
Up to four nominees are inducted each year. Inductees must have made significant contributions to the agricultural industry and must demonstrate service and leadership skills.

Executive training
Youngstown
The Small Business Administration will offer free executive training to 18 Youngstown businesses.
The e200 Emerging Leaders Initiative course will teach growth-development strategies and tips on attracting capital and using available resources. The 40-hour course will have 13 sessions, followed by 14 hours in CEO mentoring groups.
Qualifying companies must have been operating at least three years with annual revenue between $400,000 and $10 million. They also must have at least one employee other than the owner.

Annual spring clinic

The Mahoning Valley Landscape & Nursery Association’s annual Spring Clinic and Trade Show will be 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 16 at Fellows Riverside Gardens in the Mill Creek MetroParks.
Speakers at the event include David Goerig, OSU Extension educator for Mahoning County; and Rob Leeds, OSU Extension educator for Delaware County.
The convention will include programs on the green industry, expanding a business and using social media. Commercial recertification credits will be offered in two landscaping programs.
Attendees also will have the opportunity to visit booths with new products and information.
Cost of attendance is $40 for members and master gardeners and $60 for nonmembers.
