Firetruck flips
YOUNGSTOWN
Three Youngstown firefighters have been released from the hospital with minor injuries after their truck rolled over Saturday morning near Oak Street and Excelsior Avenue.
“Apparently they tried to avoid a civilian vehicle,” said Chief John O’Neill Jr. “They went across the dividing line, hit a curb and flipped.”
The accident call came around 11:58 a.m. The truck was the department’s rescue squad 33. A spare truck is being used with equipment from the wrecked truck.
Police are investigating.
