Police seek two in stabbing of man, 21

Police are looking for two men believed to have stabbed a 21-year-old East Side man as he walked along South Avenue early Friday.
The 21-year-old South Truesdale Avenue man was stabbed in the chest and cut on the right shoulder. Police found the man lying on the ground in the area of Indianola Avenue and South accompanied by his girlfriend. He was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center for treatment.
The man told police he was walking in the 3000 block of South Avenue on the South Side shortly before 1 a.m. when he was approached by a man he has had personal problems with in the past and another man he did not recognize.
He said one of the men lifted his shirt to reveal a gun and ordered the victim to strip.
The victim told police he began to remove his clothing, but one of the men began stabbing at him with a knife. The victim ran to his girlfriend’s house on Indianola and called police.
The victim’s injuries were not life-threatening, according to the police report. No arrests had been made as of late Friday afternoon.
