Musical showcase set at KSU Salem

For the fourth year in a row, the Musical Theatre Senior Showcase from Kent State University’s School of Theatre and Dance will perform Broadway’s best musicals at the Kent State Salem City Center, 230 N. Lincoln Ave. All concerts are free.

The event is the senior musical theater class’ last show before traveling to New York City to perform for agents and casting directors. Budding artists singing Broadway show tunes will perform starting at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Kent State Salem’s Symphonious Sunday Series will kick off with songs that include: “Pulled,” from “The Addam’s Family”; “I Want to go to Hollywood,” from “Grand Hotel”; “Make ’em Laugh,” from “Singin’ in the Rain”; and “Let Yourself Go,” from “All Shook Up.”
