Beer, wine taste for Golden String

Wine vintners and craft brewers will offer their wares at Golden String’s second annual Beer, Wine and Chocolate Taste from 7 to 11 p.m. April 2 at St. Matthias Father Snock Center, 2800 Shady Run Road. All proceeds will benefit Golden String Radio, an online radio station run by adults with disabilities. Golden String Radio will broadcast live at the event. The event will include food, raffles, drinks and a hot-pepper table. Tickets are $15 and are available at the following downtown locations: Touch the Moon Candy Saloon, The Lemon Grove, Inner Circle Pizza, Royal Oaks Bar & Grill and The Purple Cat; or call Michelle at 330-261-0912.

Bird walk planned

CANFIELD

Mill Creek Metroparks will have a bird walk at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Bikeway entrance at the MetroParks Farm on Route 46 in Canfield. An incorrect location was given in Thursday’s Vindicator.
