Protestant group honors pastors

Protestant Family Service celebrated 67 years of service to the community at its 40th annual dinner meeting recently at Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestview Drive.

Area pastors were recognized for their past, present and continued commitment to the ministry of the organization, and the 2011 proposed budget was approved.

The Rev. Bret Rizzo, church pastor, installed the current board of trustees to serve again during 2011. Installed as a new member of the board was Rita Jemison.

Musical entertainment was provided by Harold and Cheri Blackann.
