Program will observe Hungarian history

YOUNGSTOWN

At the Youngstown American Hungarian Club, 2219 Donald Ave., the American-Hungarian Federation of Churches & Societies will sponsor a program at 2:30 p.m. March 13 to commemorate the 1848 War of Independence.

The program will feature guest speakers who will speak in Hungarian and English. Leslie Polgar Sr. will give presentations on Hungarian backgrounds, current cultural events and changes in Hungary.

A Youngstown Hungarian dance group will perform, and musicians Andrew Check and Joe Losoncy will share traditional Hungarian melodies. Completing the program will be the recitation of poems.

Afterward, refreshments will be served.
