Ravenna knocks out Hubbard boys

Isaick Sanders scored 16 points to lead Ravenna High to a 52-46 victory over Hubbard in the boys Division II sectional basketball tournament at Boardman High School on Tuesday night.

Sanders scored six points, all from the free throw line, in the fourth quarter to help Ravenna keep the lead.

Josh Miller added 13 points, including three 3-pointers, for the Ravens (11-10), who outscored Hubbard 8-4 in the third quarter to break a 27-all halftime tie.

Mike Lopuchovsky led all scorers with 20 poinst to pace the Eagles (13-8). Kory Hopkinson added eight points and Jeremy Collins scored seven.

SOUTHEAST-FIELD

Noah Kainrad scored 15 points for Southeast (11-10), which outscored Field 20-12 in the fourth quarter to win, 50-47, in the night’s first game.
