Ohio teen may be tried as an adult in brother's death

COLUMBUS (AP) — Franklin County prosecutor is requesting that a 16-year-old boy be tried as an adult on a murder charge in the fatal shooting of his brother at a shopping center.

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien says Andrew Kelley has been charged with a delinquency count of murder. Kelley initially faced a similar assault count.

Fifteen-year-old Andrake Kelley was shot in the head last month at Easton Town Center in suburban Columbus after a dispute inside an Apple store. He died several days later.

WBNS-TV reports Andrew Kelley told investigators he fired shots into the air after an argument with another group of people escalated. He told them he didn’t mean to hit his brother.
