WEDNESDAY

Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will sponsor a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the church. THURSDAY

Boardman United Methodist Preschool and Child Care Center, 6809 Market St., Boardman, will have an annual “Psghetti Dinner” from 4 to 7 p.m. Tickets for dining in or carryout meals are $6.50 for adults and $3.50 for children. There will be a silent auction and a Scholastic Book Fair.

Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, will have takeout dinners of baked stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and green beans available from 3:30 p.m. until sold out. The cost is $6. No need to preorder or get out of the car.

Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, will have takeout dinners of stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes, green beans and a brownie from 4 p.m. until sold out. The cost is $7. Drive through and pick up the meals.

FRIDAY

American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will serve the following meals from 3 to 7 p.m. each Friday: all-you-can-eat fried fish with french fries or macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; chicken with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; and shrimp with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage. Each meal is $8 for adults, $5 for children under 12 and free for those 5 and under. A fish sandwich with fries and coleslaw is $5.50. For carryouts call (330) 654-5630. Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $5 a dozen. Orders should be placed from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Advance sales only. Lunches will be available beginning at 11 a.m. Friday.

King Solomon Lodge No. 87, 505 Highland Ave., SW, Warren, is having a fish fry from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. On the menu are catfish or whiting, green beans, macaroni and cheese, “Mean Greens,” potato salad, coleslaw, white bread and dessert. Dinners cost $8, and a sandwich is $6. Carryout is available, as are deliveries.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles will sell regular, potato and spinach pizza at the school annex, 381 Robbins Ave. Advance orders are being accepted at 330-652-2811 until noon Thursday. Pickups will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome from 1 to 4 p.m.

St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. Cost is $4.50 a dozen. St. Luke Church, 5235 South Ave., Boardman, will bake Italian-style red and white pizza. Phone orders will be accepted at 330-788-0025 between 9 and 11:30 a.m. only. Pickup will be until 12:30 p.m. Price is $6 for Brier Hill pizza and $5 for white pizza.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $4.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $5 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers and use the side entrance.

Tod Avenue United Methodist Church, 155 Tod Ave. NW, Warren, will have an all-you-can-eat fish dinner from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Meals of fish or meatloaf include potatoes, coleslaw, dessert and beverage. The cost is $9 for adults and $3 for children. Carryouts will be available starting at 3:30.

VFW Post 5532, 575 S. County Road, Washingtonville, will have a fish fry from 3 to 8 p.m. The menu will feature a choice of haddock, chicken nuggets or fried shrimp. Austintown Little Falcons will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, corner of Mahoning Avenue and South Turner Road, Austintown. There will be a basket auction, and takeouts will be available. Meals are $7 for adults and $5 for children under 12.

For the Dogs Animal Rescue will have a cavatelli/spaghetti dinner and basket raffle at St. George Croatian Center, 3200 Vestal Road, Youngstown. Volant Volunteer Fire Company, 575 Main St., Volant, Pa., will have a buckwheat pancake and sausage day from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. The donation will be $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, $5 for children 6 to 12 and free for those 5 and under.

Aut Mori Grotto Veterans Unit will have a pancake brunch from noon to 3 p.m. at Argus Lodge, 5050 Shields Road, Canfield. The cost will be $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12. St. Patrick Church, 1420 Oak Hill Ave, Youngstown, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the church social hall. The menu includes salad, bread, beverage and dessert. From 2 to 3 p.m. there will be a concert of music from the best of Broadway shows and the big screen featuring Emilie Lappe Eberth and Tim Welsh. A donation will be accepted.

Southington American Legion Post will serve breakfasts of sausage and pancakes (all-you-can-eat) or biscuits and gravy from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the post, 3145 Warren-Burton Road, Southington. The donation is $5.50 for adults and $3 for children 5 to 12. Those 4 and under eat free.

Vincent United Methodist Church, Walnut Street, Jackson Center, Pa., will have a ham loaf dinner beginning at 12:30 p.m. The meal includes scalloped potatoes, vegetable, coleslaw, applesauce, dessert and beverage. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 10 and under.

Yo-Mah-O Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals will host a pancake and sausage breakfast from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Rotary Room at the Lariccia Family Community Center in Boardman Township Park. The cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children under 10.
