POLICE CALLS

A summary of police activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:

CANFIELD

June 20

Drug abuse: Police arrested Michael Fabian, 18, of 96 Hood Drive for drug abuse and drug paraphernalia for possession of 5.9 grams of suspected marijuana and a pipe at McQuaid’s gas station, 407 W. Main St.

June 22

Drug abuse/paraphernalia: Erica Jonda,27, of 370 Lora Ave., Youngstown, was arrested for possession of rolling papers and three bags of marijuana on Broad Street.

June 23

Dogs running loose: Police cited Bridgid Cassin, 26, of 112 W. Main St. with dogs and other animals running at large. Her dog had to be quarantined for 10 days after it bit another dog.

Theft: Police arrested Renee Wilson, 50, of 440 Fairground Blvd. for accepting a package shipped by UPS to the wrong address, opening it and using the laptop computer inside. The package had been mailed to a former resident of the address.

AUSTINTOWN

June 20

Menacing: A woman from the 3000 block of Meanderwood Drive reported her son has been receiving unwanted texts from another male.

Theft: A couch was stolen from an apartment in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Blvd.

Assault: A male was truck by another male in the 4000 block of Timberbrook Drive.

Theft: A cell phone was taken at Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Auto theft: A 2001 Chevrolet Silverado pickup was stolen from the 300 block of Victoria Road.

Theft: A 10-speed Roadmaster bicycle was stolen from a home in the 1000 block of S. Raccoon Road.

Aggravated menacing: A male juvenile is accused of aggravated menacing at a home in the 4000 block of Woodmere Drive.

Aggravated menacing: A male suspect is accused of aggravated menacing at Austintown Auto, 5275 Mahoning Ave.

Burglary: Cash was reported stolen at a home in the 5000 block of Baylor Drive.

Breaking and entering: Lawn equipment was stolen from a garage in the 60 block of S.Main St.

Theft: A wallet and debit card were stolen at Shotz, 3718 Oakwood Ave.

Burglary: Jewelry was stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Black Oak Lane.

June 21

Theft: Zachary Yates, 18, of 264 Forest Hill Drive was arrested for taking a DVD at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A Dell laptop, CDs, and GPS unit were stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Barrington Drive.

Menacing: A man is accused of menacing in the 1000 block of Compass West.

June 22

Domestic violence: Joseph Halas, 52, of 103 S. Edgehill Ave., was arrested on a domestic violence charge.

Fraud: 21 unauthorized charges were made to a Home Savings and Loan banking account of a resident of the 3000 block of Artmar Drive totaling $1,721 in Orlando, Fla.

Criminal trespassing: Austin Chace, 18, of 2277 Innwood Drive., Youngstown, was arrested for criminal trespassing at a home in the 2000 block of Elm Trace.

June 23

Attempted burglary: There are two suspects in an attempted burglary at a home in the 300 block of Monaca Ave.

Theft: A man took the cashier’s purse from the back room at Certified Oil, 825 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: Medications were taken from an apartment in the 1000 block of Compass West.

Lost or stolen wallet: A wallet was reported missing at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Criminal trespassing: Michael Miller, 46,of 211 Royal Mall Drive, Niles, and his wife, Anna Miller, 47, same address, were arrested for trespassing at Pilot, 1150 N. Niles-Canfield Road.

Telecommunications harassment: A text from an ex-boyfriend was reported at a home in the 4000 block of Darbyshire Drive.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle and siding were spray-painted at a home in the 4000 block of Woodleigh Court.

Felonious assault: A man claims his ex-wife tried to run him over with her car at a home in the 3000 block of Heritage Court.

June 24

Burglary: A suspect was found inside a residence in the 3000 block of Monaca Ave.

Theft: A credit card was stolen from an auto at a home in the 4000 block of New Road.

Assault: A woman was a victim of assault at ABC Motor Credit, 4222 Mahoning Ave.

Burglary: Forcible entry was made in a house through a kitchen window in the 600 block of N. Four Mile Run Road.

Criminal damaging: A mailbox was damaged at a home in the 6000 block of Fairview Road.

Theft: Two men and a woman were caught stealing items at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave. All items were recovered.

Fraud: Fraudulent money orders were reported at a home in the 10 block of Peggy Lane.

Warrant: Natalee Good,18, and Mark Jones, 25, both of 3340 S. Meridian Road were both arrested on warrants for complicity to burglary and aiding and abetting each other in burglary.

Theft: Speakers and an amplifier were taken from an auto in the 1000 block of Compass West.

June 25

Assault: A woman is accused of assault at a home in the 3000 block of Oakwood Ave.

Telecommunications harassment: Unwanted calls were reported at a home in the 20 block of N. Four Mile Run Road.

Warrant: Aleah Good, 19, of 1281 Prospect St., Salem, was arrested on seven active warrants for burglary.

Theft: A yellow Suzuki dirt bike was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.

Theft: Money, a GPS, a laptop computer and a passport were stolen from an auto in the 4000 block of Mahoning Ave.

Burglary: A front door was kicked in at a home in the 100 block of S. Navarre Ave.

June 26

Disorderly conduct: Ryan Fiscus, 21, of 3898 Nottingham Drive was issued a summons for disorderly conduct at Club Gossip, 1743 S. Raccoon Road.

Telecommunications harassment: An ex-girlfriend is accused of telecommunications harassment at a home in the 200 block of S. Navarre Ave.

Theft: Electronic equipment was reported stolen at Economy Inn, 1051 N. Niles-Canfield Road.

Drug offense: Ryan Reble, 23, of 305 West Como St., Struthers, was issued a summons for possession of marijuana.

Aggravated menacing: A female threatened a male with a gun in the 1000 block of Compass West.

Theft: A 16-year-old is accused of theft and menacing at a home in the 4000 block of Norquest Blvd.

Theft: Five cases of beer were stolen at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A gold pendant was stolen at a home on Breezewood.

Warrant: Donald Lissman, 59, of 4520 Warwick North Drive, Canfield was arrested on a warrant for passing bad checks.
