Owner of Pa. bowling alley faces sex charges

The owner of a Pennsylvania bowling alley faces charges of sexual misconduct against five juvenile males.

James M. Kopan, 47, of Sharon, Pa., is charged with 55 felony counts and 21 misdemeanor counts of unlawful contact with minors, corruption of minors, obscene and sexual materials, indecent exposure and open lewdness.

Kopan is accused of having the contact with five boys during sleepovers at Tornado Alley, 123 W. Market St. in Mercer, Pa., between 2008 and 2010, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.

He surrendered to police Friday, and the case was turned over to Mercer County Common Pleas Court.

Police said Kopan was arrested two other times, including March 2, after two police completed separate investigations.

These felony and misdemeanor charges are the result of all three investigations.
