Blaze strikes former china company in New Castle

NEW CASTLE — A blaze tonight in New Castle fills the air with plums of black smoke.

Shortly before 6 p.m. this evening flames broke out inside the former Shenango China Company.

Vindicator news partner TV 21 WFMJ reports that multiple fire departments from the surrounding areas responded to keep the blaze from spreading to a business that operates at one end of the building.

The fire produced smoke that was reportedly seen for miles.

No word yet on what caused the fire.

Nobody was injured.
