Rotary sponsors 2011 Fireworks Fest at fairgrounds

If you’ve attended the Fourth of July fireworks display at the Canfield Fairgrounds in years past, you haven’t seen anything yet.

The Canfield Rotary’s Firework Fest, set for July 2, will be the largest Zambelli fireworks display in the area and will include fair food, live entertainment and kids’ activities. Gates open at 6 p.m.

For the $5 per car parking cost, attendees will be able to hear Abbey Road, a favorite Beatles tribute band. Other entertainment includes Shooting Star DJ’s, JD Eicher and the Goodnights, MAGMA Project and Austintown Bounce. Food and beverages will also be available.

The fireworks begin at approximately 10 p.m. and the 25-minute show will include 1,700 shells. In the event of rain, the fireworks will be rescheduled for July 3.

Canfield Rotary will also have Chevy Cruze LTZ raffle tickets on sale.
